What did I do this holiday?

Kinda sad that i didnt go overseas. Arrggghhh...

So i try to make myself happy during the "stay-in" holiday. Tho there were some work I had to do but i think i had my fair share of rest and catching up with myself. So yupz, i'm happy.

So here's what i did..

Monday: Walk walk round Bugis then went for JCYL wedding video shoot. Here's Cat with blink blink eyelashes! We needa make her look like yanleen. whahaha

Tuesday: Met up with Pri School Frenz for lunch at Far East and had tea at TWG! So happy! Watched "The Blind Side" with Joshua in the evening. It's a good story but sadly no climax in the movie.

Wednesday: Met up with Junhao and Mel for dinner. Celebration!

Thursday: Went to look for mel for lunch. Went to a super nice milk shake place! Walked around Ann Siang a little.

Friday: Cell group!

Saturday: Singers practice in the morning and watched a play in the evening with Joshua. whahhahahahahaahahahaha but guess what? I bought the wrong tickets! Ended up watching a Malay Play (with english subtitle of coz)

Sunday: Backup singing and Church Camp launch. Did i say the milkshake was good? Yupz went back for more milkshake!

Monday: Slack, Visit lissy @kkh and met Dustin at night for dinner. Poor lissy had to stay in hospital for 4 days. =(

Let's see how much did i achieve this holiday:

1. watch movie - checked
2. read a book - started but didnt finish
3. visit a place in sg that i've never been before - checked
4. catch up with old frenz - checked
5. watch a play - checked

7. buy cny clothes - checked

Not too bad.

Primary School Friends Gathering!

Aiyo...i now decrown Dor as my late queen fren. I now crown Fanny and Jing Jing as SUPER LATE QUEEN!!

Fanny: I'll be slightly late, sorrry...

He turned up 1 hour later

Me: eh jing! where are you?

Jing: Hmm..at home lor

Me: Arent you suppose to meet me at far east today!?!?!?

Jing: Har! Not tmr mehz!?!??!

Me: No it's today!!!

Jing: Ok, give me 1 hour

So...in the end..i waiteed one hour for the both of them to appear....

anyway it was a good catch up! Hee..we went to TWG for tea too!! woohoo! been wanting to go there since forever lor...

tea was great! dessert was great! But aircon not working lehz!!!

thanksgiving

I think I need to get used to receive financial support from others.

Received 2 ang baos recently and i feel so paiseh. I know it's God's blessing through His people and it's their expression of love to God and to me. Hee..but juz feel very paiseh lehz...

one of it is from pastor joe and aunty dawn. i really didnt expect it from them coz pastor knows that i received a year end love gift from church and i told him about my plans to visit krabi. Even tho he knows that i've spare cash to go travelling, yet he is giving to me.

the other one is from my vcf frenz. they really caught me by surprise, i really tot it was juz a causal dinner, didnt know tt was their agenda. hee..they gave me a card too. One of my fren came from a very humble background, she literally takes care of the finances in the entire family. The other fren, both his parents need long term medication and treatment. Yet, both of them gave.

It changed my perspective of giving. They did not give out of their abuandance nor did they give out of sympathy. They simply wanted to bless me.

very touched. really.

Lord, teach me to receive your blessings with joy and humble heart.

Leave

Needa clear 8.5 days of leave in jan-feb.

So...i'm on leave whole of next week! Yeah! actually wanted to go krabi, but only josh could make it, hence it's cancelled. Not nice for a guy and a girl to travel alone i think. hahaha..yes conservative i know.

here's the things i wanna/needa do...

Dont wanna turn God's blessing into a distraction

Erm...you know iphone has been really great. Too great! there's like 10 thousand things to explore that whenever i have free time i'll juz play with my iphone.

It's taking away my time from reflection. Coz usually when i've nothing to do, i'll reflect about what has happened...usually do it during travelling time...so ya..now i'm like always playing with my iphone...gotta put a stop to it...

Superheadz 1

erm..i decided to buy superheadz after looking at the sample pictures.

So...when i send my roll for developing i was anticipating to see something similar!
BUT reality really hurts lor! mine is far from the sample lehz.

Wrong film? Wrong lighting? or what ah??? where is the vivid images they promised!!??!

hmmm......... i'll try another roll of film soon...hahaha...actually now tt i've the iphone lomo app...heee....wondering if it's worth the money to buy and develop film anymore...ooooooo....hmmmmmm

A Gastronomic Affair

Joshua had an impromtu dinner party. What's for food? His debut cooking! The dinner went really well actually. Think he has a flare in cooking, it's really good for a first timer can!

Guest: Mel, Daniel, Serene, Myself, Nicole ( Elijah's gf), Sandra ( Moses' gf), Cheryl (Sandra's sis)

Host: Lim's 3 bros

Haha..we were greeted by the menu at the gate. It's was a pretty good one done by moses.

Dont think can see the wordings from here but it's really well written. If joshua sends out the softcopy. i'll add in later.

Here's the food!

Chicken Milanese

Moo Moo - 200+ grainfed angus beef

Foie Gras - goose liver

Dessert - Apple strudel with strawberries

We had a hard time washing up at the end tho..haha..we din know how to use the dish washer. *opps* We took an hour to clean up the whole place and the dishes! haha..

btw, photos taken using my iphone! it has a polarize apps! hee...i'm pretty impressed with the pic.

夜上海，夜上海，你是个不夜城

Today is Saiho and Kerin's wedding!

This guy, wrote an excellent poem for the wife!

i cant rem the words but it's like for poem, line 1 will rhymn with line 2, then line 3 with line 4 right? And it's in the same language.

This guy, wrote line 1 in english, line 2 in chinese, line 3 in english, line 4 in hokkien, line 5 in english, line 6 in cantonese, line 7 in english and line 8 in jap.

It's really excellent!

Dinner was great too! it's at grand shanghai! i didnt really take a nice pic there hee...there's a live band that sings popular oldies (super nice! kinda scary tt i know most of the songs!!) food is great too! it's a very cosy restaurant!! totally worth the consideration for my wedding! hahahaha

so during the wedding today, many pple asked me when am i getting married. I'm like...havent find bf how to get married...anyway my gfs are not getting married anytime soon..relaxxxx.x...

then juz now...shi msg to say tt tjm proposed! hahahaa...so now..maybe i should really worry. I'm really excited to hear about the proposal story!!!! woohoo!!

but still...God is in control...In his perfect timing, He will unfold. And i think he is currently unfolding

My personal conviction is that

Trust + Obey = Victory

Many times, we always say we believe in God, we believe that He is guiding us, He is with us. But if we do not obey whatever he calls us to do, then our victorious life will not happen.

Let's rem the math

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well - Matthew 6:33

Let's not miss out the victorious life God so desired for us because we are fearful of what is to come. He is big and good enough for us.

Will you trust and obey?
