Time of rest

I'm on MC for 2 days.

Being having dizzy spells since 20th

Visited the doc today. He took my BP and told me that it's at 150. It's high. While he cant comment on exactly why is my BP high or why i'm feeling dizzy. He asked me to rest and visit him again for reviw. He said it's too early to tell whether izit high blood pressure, he did affirm me that chances are rather low for people my age. Tho he did mention that family history is one big contributing factor. Both my parents are high blood pressure patients.

Meanwhile, i will just need to rest and relaxxxxxx....

was browsing singapore heart foundation and here's what i found...

Blood pressure refers to the force with which your heart pumps blood throughout your body. It varies from person to person. Even for the same individual, blood pressure may vary from time to time when, for instance, when one gets angry versus when one is relaxed.

Blood pressure is expressed as a fraction of two numbers and is measured in mm Hg (millimetres of mercury). The first number is the systolic pressure, i.e. the pressure with which the heart contracts and pumps blood to the rest of the body. The second number is the diastolic pressure, which is registered as the heart relaxes and its chambers open, filling with blood.

In general, blood pressure is classified as shown below:

Classification Systolic (mm Hg) Diastolic (mm Hg)
Normal < 120 < 80
Pre-hypertensive 120-139 80-89
Hypertensive ≥ 135 ≥ 85

When a person’s blood pressure is consistently at or greater than 140/90 mm Hg, he is said to have high blood pressure or hypertension.

So yupz, pls keep me in prayer. I was quite shock to hear that my BP is high coz my BP is usually low 110+.

Today's service

Today's service is a little different.

The congregation sang very loudly. Dora was leading and I was the back up. I couldnt hear her or myself through out.

Rev Peter preached and the congregation was extraordinarily responsive. He also shared with us what God revealed to him about COGS - that in the coming decade, the Lord is going to raise many more workers. He led the church in prayer that God will remove disbelief and healing will take place. That was exactly what God has revealed to me. The Lord has been sooooo clear! Now, it's either we trust and obey the Lord or we are OUT!

SJSM ministered to us with a dance item and 3 songs that they composed. Good singers. Simple yet meaning lyrics.

The sunday school gave the church workers a surprise. Aunty Anne came over to the pulpit and said, " Church workers are the most crticized....worked 24/7..." i cant rem all the words but it was very nicely crafted and she ended with " pls forgive us for our unwise words during the year...etc" Then Ariel prayed for the church workers and children marched in from entrance to gave each of us a hamper. Soooo sweeeeeeet

I felt loved. I really do.

Then the SJSM pple came over and told us that they were very ministered by the worship and how they felt that the team was very annointed. They were enjoying the worship etc.... SH's fren commented that our musicians are very talents and some other pple also commented that the team was very good for christmas service.

So izit we who are blinded to our talents? Like grass is always greener on the other side??

I'm confused.

The Lord's Providence...once again

The last 2 months have been very difficult for me financially. The allowance i'm receiving is just enough for my daily expenditure, no extra. The last 2 months i had to pay for certian things in advance and it just kinda make things quite difficult. As christmas and chinese new yr approaches, i feel kinda lousy that i dont have extra money with me. I was thinking about...how can i buy some gifts for family and frenz during christmas...how can i give some money to my parents, grandma during cny...

there isnt much i can do except to pray. I cant possibibly tell pastor i need more money right? haha.. i turned to God and prayed for a yr end bonus.

yday, pastor joe told me that while i was away in cambodia, the ecc decided to give me a 1.5months yr end bonus!

All praises and Glory to Christ my King and friend! Truely, he knew it all.

My God is soooooooooooo BIG!

I'm back from mission trip and my heart is filled with thanksgiving!!!

I'm thankful that....

1. Quoting Daniel's favourite word during the trip - uneventful. Everything went on as planned. Tho there were some hicups along the way but they were very managable. Upon arrival in the village, we were told that the wire were chewed up by the rats and was having problem get power for the church building. my heart sank! How to carry on with activities without electricity. I know nuts about electricity, All i could do was pray and indeed, God was bigger than the problem. We got our electricity a while later.

2. God preserved our health! It's the time that i didnt fall sick after the mission trip! No one else is sick too! While Mabel and Daniel were both unwell prior the trip and even on the 1st day, all were well enough to go to the village on the 2nd day!

3. All our evanglistic messages/devotion ties in with our theme " My God is So Big!"

4. That the team members worked very hard (meaning i dont have to work very hard! haha). This gives me a chance to observe things from a different angle.

5. That all the churches worked well together.

6. Daniel, tho was there primarily for Medical missions avail himself so willingly.

7. Uncle Weng San, was so humble, gentle, patient and always of good cheer! A doctor like him who holds very high position in the hospital yet so down to earth and caring towards each of us is hard to come by. Thanks for setting such a good example for us to follow

8. Uncle Clement,Aunty Anne and Mable for adapting so well to the village condition during dental missions and have alrd started to think about what they could do for the next dental mission! That means they are coming again right? whahaha

9. Mel, for adjusting so well to the village life. Honestly, part of me was worried about her adjusting to the condition. Haha..thanks for being so sporting during all the games and "cafe singing". Surely the Lord has open a way for us to share his message even while we are there to have coffee!

10. Shirley, for once again shinning ever so brightly during children min! The ability to engage the children is commendable!

11. Joshua, for taking so much initiative during the trip! He is so full of energy and was motivating the team on everyday! thanks joshua, really enjoyed having you around! your calling is to the mission field lah! really!

12. Jon is so creative and adapted so well when we were in Boeung Salang! He is a great public speaker and actor!

13. Samuel our silent and willing worker! Working behind the scene for logistics and finance!

14. Uncle Pak Chee is always available to offer advice and make decisions when needed. His sense of humour and wisdom in the Lord is greatly appreciated!

15. We were able to minister to the members in Boeung Salang. Tho the crowd wasnt very big, about 30 adults and 20 children.youth. the time there tho short was meaningful. A good 1st time for all of us!

there were really so much to thank God for....

A tree grew in my room... =)

This week has been rather hectic. Not only is it the week before mission trip ( meaning there's tonnes of things to prepare and do), Evon's dad was also in critical condition. A church member's dad and another member's sis are hospitalized too. It's also the week that i need to settle Church Camp publicity before i leave for my mission trip.

On tues, spent some time in the hospital with Evon and it's quite helpless to see her so stressed coping with all the things that is happening in the family. The dad wished to rest at home instead of the hospital and was granted his wish. One day later, He passed away at home peacefully in his sleep. Again, i was there, helpless. All i could do was to pray for them and say to her " give us a call tonight "

Today, settled some of the church camp publicity stuff with xuan, in the afternoon had to run errands for mission trip and visit a patient. Today is also the 1st day of Evon's dad wake, wanted to go in the afternoon but didnt have the time.

Met up with Cat and Jac in the evening. Actually, I wanted to get iphone! but =( the Q was super long. Anyway, while shopping in Giant, I bought wall stickers! Haha..it's something that i've been wanting to buy for quite a while and it's actually cheaper in Giant! Tho' it's not the ideal design i had in mind, i do like this quite a bit.

Here's a tree growing in my room...

so much about people teasing about my chinese name as forest, here i am, planting a tree in my room.

haha

For the sake of Jaclyn, my mission trip is from ( 14th - 20th Dec).
