Back from Church Camp!

A few thoughts about this combined camp with the chinese congreation.

1. It's very encouraging and touching to see how the 2 congreations gel so well together. From children to adult and i think the youth got along the best. Uncle terry's wife is from the chinese cong and uncle terry is from the english cong. She shared during the testimony time that if it's not for this combined camp, they will never be able to attend a church camp tog. So touching lor!!!

2. I totally enjoyed bilingual worship. it's a very nice combination. actually...i think given time i'll enjoy chinese worship more. The words are more appropriate and closer to heart. i guess it's coz it's my mother tongue =)

3. Didnt manage to join the adult sessions but had a great time with the children. Some of them are really sweet while there are also some with very "interesting" character!!! The children learnt about sincerity towards God, man and work. I wonder if i have been sincere? Have i friends?

Another testimony from Shi

Really encouraged by the transformation I see in shi. What an amazing work that God has done in her life. May this fire for the Lord continues to burn all the days of her life!

We were having dinner during ALPHA. At the dinner table, there were shi, cat, serene, william and myself. I think it was cat who started to say that she has been receiving verses sms from shi daily. Then shi started to share her encounters of how her sending/sharing of verses has touched hearts and how she really appreciate things and people ard her now. Shi also shared that she has amazingly reconciled with huiying over msn. They apologised to each other for not been very friendly towards each other in the past. William was very encouraged. He invited shi to share her testimony with the church during ALPHA thanksgiving service. Haha..of coz shi will say " no lahz..hahaha...it's nothing what...hahaha..." after much persuasion, she agreed. Praise the Lord!

I think, this has to be the best ALPHA video till date " how to make your live worth living". Nicky Gumble shared that we have to leave our past and start a new live with Chirst. He stated 3 significant turining points of a new life. 1. Sincere Love 2. Enthusiaism about the Word of God 3. Reconciled relationships. Arent we seeing all 3 in shi now?? Hahaha...

Such testimony cannot go unheard.

Pulau Batam

Pagi besok, saya akan pergi ke Pulau Batam!

Saya bahagia sekali karena saya tidak harus bekerja dan bisa main main di Batam!

This translates to :

tomorrow morning i'm going to Batam!

I am so happy because i dont have to go to work and i can have fun in Batam!

Hahaha...did i write correctly in Bahasa Indonesia? I dunnoe..it's all from my memory of what i used to learn in school. I'm pretty excited about this trip coz i'm going to indonesia. Ever since i took up bahasa indo in school, i've always wanted to visit indonesia. Sadly, none of my travel kakis were interested in this country. Finally the oppty came!! it's church camp tmr and it's at Batam!! It was supposed to be at Malecca but due to some unforseen circumstances, we had to change venue! Weee....i'm happy!

Cant wait for church camp to begin! May it be a good time of rest and reflection for all campers!

Fear of been checked by compliance again. Doubted my own ability to handle this job.

Cant image that i have to go to work with fear. it doesnt feel right.

The weekend!

Quite an expensive weekend.



On sat,went window shopping for a while in Far East for a while then went to KTV. Woohoo! with only 5 of us (yeeshi, jac, serene, cat and me), we were given this huge room! It's crazy! It's a room meant for like 30pple?? Hahaha..it's so huge! We had to shift the sofa and table coz we couldnt see the words on the TV. Hhaha..yes tt big. There were also shakers and tambourines in the room. We had a crazy time entertaining ourselves with the instruments.



Then we head to Dempsy for Jumbo...thankfully we didnt have to wait for the table. While waiting for the food to come, we were bored and decided to play some games. Hahha...we play " zhong ji mi ma" and the loser for the first round was to stand at the open concept kitchen to stare at the pple inside. 2nd round, the person had to stand in the middle of the restaurant and look at the fishes in the tank for 20secs...hahaha and both challenges were done by Jaclyn!

Phew! I accidentally hit the back button and this page went missing! Thank God for the invention of blogspot saving the draft authomatically. Imagine the agony of re-typing!!

Anyhows...we went for desert after dinner. Heard of the 2am desert bar in holland? it's kinda pricey....16 bucks for a desert but it's really yummy!!! and nice ambience too...heee.....

On sunday...went to church for BCG at 2pm. Haven led them for worship for a very long time...thank God that it went well, we even lasps into free worship...i was surprised! The Spirit was certainly with us. Then William shared with us about Christian response to the current world crisis. I tot the beginning was kinda exciting. Only the theology part was a bit chim for the younger ones. Attended service, worhsip was good today. The band played so well!! Sermon was simple and good. To love, we must first forgive.

Had dinner at holland with mel and zw at hv xo fish head! heh...so yummy! soup was sooo good...the prawn paste chicken was very nice too!! all for 7bucks! Saw chen han wei there...hahaha...erm...with a group of his guy frenz. Then we went to KAP mac to try the new onion ring and spicy nuggets. Wha...exp lor! it's like $7 for a meal!! tho the onion ring is kinda nice, it's the real onion kind but very little!! the spicy nugget is really quite spicy. i dunch like.

Encouraged by this sister

Totally impressed by Yee Shi.

She was telling me that she has been talking to her mum about her baptism but was rejected. After some thoughts, she realised that she must show her mum the difference in her before and after accepting Jesus into her life.

I mean, this is impressive for a younger christian.

Praise God for the wonderful works in Yee Shi's life.
