I must say this is really quite an eventful saturday. It's Doreen's birthday so we booked a hotel room. We checked in to Royal Plaza Scott Hotel at 2pm and was upgraded to the club floor. Meaning? Everything is about the same except that we have a private lounge which we can go for tea/breakfast/cocktail etc. The room was kinda small actually, (prefer conrad!!) hahaha..the service also cmi..and the breakfast also cmi. It was so bad that we had complain!!

What happened was that we have 2 complimentary breakfast but there's 4 of us. So we had to pay for extra 2. We went to the club lounge and wanted to have our breakfast there but it turned out that the spread is much lesser so the girl adviced us to go down to the restaurant since we are only spending one night here. She told us that the breakfast will end at 1030am and so we went down. That was 9:55am. We walked in to the restaurant and told them that we are will pay for the extra 2. They walked us to the table and we started our breakfast. To my horrow, by 1015am, they start to clear away the food. I was like..." wha....so early for what!??!!?" We rushed tru our breakfast and went over to the counter to sign for the breakfast.

At the counter, i asked what time is the breakfast supposed to end and was told that it's at 10am. So i questioned why izit that the staff in club lounge told me it's at 1030am and that when they received us they did not inform us that we only have like 5mins to the end of breakfast time. He told me that the staff in club lounge had told me the wrong info and kept repeating "it ends at 10am" no mater what questions i posted to him.

We left the restaurant feeling cheated. So..whahahaha...i call the restaurant to complain about the entire incident. Welll...first of all, the restaurant manager did not introduce himself and i had to ask him for his name. After hearing my story, he told me that he will waive off the charges for the extra 2 pax. He didnt mantion anything about coaching the staff until i probe him further what is he going to do about the staff. Honestly, to me, complaining is not only coz i want freebies or vent my anger, the fact that i took effort to complain is coz i hope to see improvement in the service level.

overall, disappointed with the hotel.

The other highlight of the evening was that I went to watch Cats with Joshua. It was really good! I was skeptical about non UK troop coz of my bad experience on Mama Mia. This US/Aussies/NZ troop kinda surprised me with their good dance moves amd strong vocals. NICE!!





There was a lot of intereaction between the cast and audience. The cast will come down from the stage and perform among the aisle. Heh..gotta get near the stage to enjoy this =) Thankfully we bought our seats early. Oh know what! His Excellency S R Nathan was there too. Surprised that they didnt announce his presence. Maybe...he wanna keep it low profile?? hehe...I saw President at the entrance facing MS, we both arrived at esplanade at the same time. Just that he was driven there while i walked there.

After Cats, I went down to Ice Cold Beer to join the girls for doreen's birthday celebration. heh..the chicken wing there is superb!!!! love it!!! Shi suggested that we invite all Doreen's fren w/o telling her and so we did! Told more than 20 say they will come, some couldnt make it last min and we have over 10 ard to celebrate for her. Hope she is happy!

We went back to hotel at about 1am and chatted till like 3plus.....it was a good chat. we were affirming each other what are our good points and talk nonsense most of the time..hahahaha

Had prayer walk during ECC meeting today. We were supposed to end ECC by 10pm but coz of the prayer we ended at 11pm. It was a very good prayer walk.

We went to the main gate, the foundation stone outside sanctuary, inside the sanctuary, the foundation stone for kindergarden, the gate facing QPS and the corridor facing the new site for church building.

For a very long time, I've been a skeptic about the history of COGS. So many of the elders in church has been talking about the good old days or rather then golden age of COGS but looking at COGS now I totally could not connect with what they were saying. They said that the christmatic movement started from COGS and that we used the sanctury was so full that an extention had to be built. And when i knew that i had to do the archiving for the 50th anniversary and rack up the history i was totally not excited. In God's grace, He showed me in concrete evidencts of what happended in the past, many articles, testimonies and photos testify to the golden age.

During the prayer walk, I cant help but to thank God for his goodness and favour upon COGS. Of all the religious plot of land in QT, i honestly think that we have the best plot! We are near to MRT yet we dun get much of the noise from the train. Really grateful for the efforts of the forefathers and how they have sacrifically gave to the building funds of this church.

I really think my memory is failing me. As i tried to recall what I did over the week, i could vaguely remember. Anyhows, i remembered I went to bras brasa on wednesdday to buy stuff for music ministry and william bought a guitar! it's only 200bucks and the sound is really good! no joke! of coz it's also bcoz william could play beautifully too! And i also remembered that we went to SKS bookshop to get a gift for Daniel who will be going to NS on 24 Apr. Sob Sob...Daniel has left us....

The other times were spent on doing some scanning work for william. I seriously cant rem what else did i do.......hmmmmm........aging.....

Today marks the end of IDTS ( Introductory Discipleship Training School) rans by YWAM ( Youth With A Mission). It's a course that teach christians to transform head knowledge of God to the the Heart. So..you may call it the school of heart too! hee..this school occupy my saturdays for since feb and i have been truely blessed by it. It has taught me to be vulnerable to God ( hence i'm a bit more emo now), the nature and character of God ( i'm certain of my identity now), hearing the voice of God ( it introduced a new dimension of prayer)..actually they taught more stuff but these are the few that really cuts my heart.

So..today being Lordship day, we were asked to surrender things that is lording over lifes other than God Himself.

As i surrendered to God the condemnation that i had of myself ( always thinking tt i'm not capable enough or good enough) ...God told me to relearn everything through the heart of Jesus and stop thinking that i'm not good enough.

So....what do i have to relearn? I have some things on my head..ie singing, guitar, teaching, leading, submitting to authority, work for ministry, how to deal with people......and the list can go on and on........

It was a short week. I'm not too sure if i'm suffering from STM, but I cant seem to quite remember what I did over the week. I only remember preparing for the prayer for Good Friday service, attended basic music class conducted by Daniel, went for worship practice, went to diocese and packed the library.

Packing the library was quite fun. Daniel and I brought ipod and speakers to the library and started to pack the unattended library. When i say unattended, I mean that there is really no librarian and nobody has arrange or clean the shelves for ages. It was quite a mess. So Daniel and I cleaned, arranged and check whether the titles tally with the list that office had. There are some new books that people has donated to the library and waiting to be tagged. Looks like...that's what Daniel and I will be doing in Week 6.

Oh man...Daniel is finishing his SERVE programme on 18 Apr and Roger is finsihing end of this month. I'll be all alone when they leave. I'll probably be able to complete more work
