My contract with ocbc bank will end on 4feb. which is like....5 working days from now. I'm clearing leave so 3 Feb will be last day of work.
Actually boss told me that she wanna renew my contract but HR is still pending HR approval. She does not know when HR will revert to her and told me that the worst scenior would be me leaving first then come back again.
The question is...how long do I have to wait? or rather will there even be a renewal? To be honest, i'm ok with terminating my service. Looking back at the past year, i've never been happy at work. Along the way there were some encouragments like boss wanting to confirm me as perm staff and giving the title of asst team leader. However, none of which brought much joy to my heart. I've been working all for the sake of money. To make ends meet and to satisfy the kind of lifestyle i desired. To be able to buy the things that i want, to travel, to enjoy good food...shallow isnt it? Persuit of materialism.
And i question myself lately, what have i attained for the past yr? Savings? Not really. Lots of new clothes and bags? Not really. Have i repay my loans? Just a little. What i've attained was probably more discontentment than satisfaction.
i was too busy persuing material gains than my days passes by with the Lord. Nothinginess.
Psalm 90
A prayer of Moses the man of God.
1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place
throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
3 You turn men back to dust,
saying, "Return to dust, O sons of men."
4 For a thousand years in your sight
