pretty tough

did i just lament that leading peers is tough? leading older people is pretty tough too! or in fact, tougher! It's like, when i tot they knew it all and i need not educate/explain them on certian matters. Things actually turned out the other way round, they seems to need more education/explanaton than others. Then, who am I who is like 20-30yrs old younger than them to tell them what to do?

maybe the approach has to be different....

any tips? how to lead people who are older and more experienced than you?

Something shocking happened. I did DISC test when i started the Tribute Programme, I was a CS person. Recenly When i did the test again, I'm a ISC. What a change! I mean, I do know that the way i'm doing things are changing but i didnt expect it to change so drastically. It really shocked me. It really did.

Girls' Day Out

Met up with Gabby for lunch at Orchard. Then we went shopping at ION. Nope, i didnt buy anything there except bread from Provence. She ah...hahaa..she bought a few stuff. Anyway, i wanted to go ION coz i read about the new book store call Prologue and wanted to check it out.Then i made new discoveries about ION! Hahaha...coz right, usually when i go ION i travel downwards, coz upstairs too atas. So i nv quite know what's there in ION at those floors. But today, coz the bookstore is at level 4 so i had to make my way up. And! I discover TWG cafe! It's such a nice place!! Hee...i tried their tea before it's really good and the dessert looks super tasty!!! Then i saw the florist, they have mini sunflower. It's really nice. I miss mini sunflower. oh btw, Prologue is by Popular! Haha..and yupz, it's kinda nice =) Can browse mag...heh

Then in met up with Evon in the evening for dinner at IMM. Haha...she wanted to go shopping there and so we went. Had a good chat with her. She made some interesting obeservation about my CGL which i felt was quite true. Interesting. She said it's interesting that someone as vain as CGL is so willing to go to Takeo. So she concluded that he has a good heart and deep down he is actually quite a simple guy.

You dont have to work a day

met up with chelsea and pansy for dinner yday. Heh..quite glad that after so many years and rather infrequent meet ups, we still got quite a bit of things to talk about. They are my colleagues from fairprice...so that's....4-5yrs back. Esp that chelsea, she is quite crappy. hahaha...then she very funny, she very enthu in asking me to go to her friend's church (btw, she is not a christian) saying that her friend's church got quite a few good looking guys and i should go meet them. hahahaa..i had to reject her coz the church in katong lehz....aiyo...and so ealry.....9am service.....hahahaa...

So we were talking about our current work and stuff and i told her that i've not taken mc since i started work in church and actually if it's not bcoz i'm going overseas i probably wont take leave also. Then i felt my heart smiling, that i really do like what i'm doing now. Compared to when i was working in ocbc, every morning, i had to drag my feet to work or i'll always fall sick. hahaha...

So...when you are doing something you like, you dont have to work a day. This saying is true.

Alpha Small Group 2009

Alpha 2009@COGS has concluded. We had our thanksgiving service on 25 Oct.

We complied a testimony booklet to be given during the service. Honestly, it took a lot of work to put the booklet together, the cell was already tired out by the entire Alpha run and yet we have to prepare for the testimony booklet. The thing is, it's really worth it! I think i'll totally regret it if we didnt press on to publish the booklet. Having the testimony booklet forced us to reflect about the Alpha Course and that helped us to recognise God's goodness and provision over the last 3months. It was an amazing journey with the cell. I read the booklet 3x and it still warms my heart how each cell member has growth and benefited from running the course. Their experience with God was priceless.

Also thanks to Sarah, the booklet turn out really nice. All of us liked her concept of using a hand holding an object to depict the different segment in the booklet. Even my terrapin, Sunshine, appeared in the booklet!

Thank you everyone for making Alpha 2009 a success. I'm sure the Lord is pleased =)

Are there things that we could do better? Plenty! hahaha..but that's not the most impt point, coz God is more concern about the process than the product.

back up singer

heh...today was my 1st backup singing. erm...i think it's pretty tiring lehz. We practiced from 1-3:30pm. Then sing from 3:45 - 4:30pm. It's pretty hiongz lor. I always think back up singing quite relaxing..hahaha..actually it's not easy.
